Rain
Abstract
"Rain" is a short poem about female resilience in the face of patriarchal power. It reflects on the differing idioms of men and women, whereby men are considered to be more powerful than women, and contribute more to society and are its foundations. It contrasts this by saying while some people hold this view, women are necessary for the continuation of society, not just physically but also intellectually, culturally, and logically.
