Call for Creative Pieces: Deadline Extended

To encounter an individual, object, incidence or phenomenon risks change. Encounters may stimulate a sense of belonging and encourage the opportunity to participate and practice resilience or adaption in the face of the unknown. Alternatively, encounters may result in the repudiation and silencing of voices, objects, experiences, ideas and / or organisms. It may engender polarisation, a fear of the Other, or a desire to remain unaffected. Encounters may span human and non-human terrains. They may be concrete, abstract, or absurd. Thus, we call for creative pieces based on this year's theme of encounters. Submissions may include:

1) Poetry

2) Short Stories

3) Flash Fiction

4) Photography

To be considered for publication, submit by December 8, 2023:

• A Word document of your creative piece
• Contact Information - name, email address, and any institutional affiliation
• Cover letter for each author/co-author (in any format)

All creative pieces must be submitted through the Aigne website: aigne.ucc.ie. You will be asked to register on the website as an author. Once you are registered, you may upload your creative submission, where you will be assigned an editor. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
